Va-Va-Voom Vintage (What’s this?)

This dress really is a one of a kind, we've never seen anything quite like it before! The dress itself is a simple empire line column dress in classic crepe, with long sleeves which taper to a point with small popper fastening. The layered petticoats attach from under the bust and features 3 layers including the skirt; a nylon underskirt with frill for shape and a soft lining fabric. There is a 2 inch hem which could be let down if needed.

The statement of this dress is the fabulous lace train/cape panel, which is attached at the nape of the neck and shoulders and is lined with the same fabric as the dress. It has small weights sewn into the hemline so that it drapes beautifully when you walk and is a creamy colour lace to contrast with the whiter dress.

This dress has no label and is hand-stitched ...clearly a one off creation by a very inventive bride!

What’s Va-Va-Voom Vintage?

Did you know that the term vintage is generally used to describe anything over 50 years old?? The Honeybomb vintage range focuses mainly on the fabulous 50’s, but we also have dresses ranging from the 20’s to the early 60’s.

The nature of a vintage dress means that there are generally some slight imperfections and blemishes in the fabric. If you are unsure about anything or would like to see more photos please drop us a line.
