Martha
Va-Va-Voom Vintage (What’s this?)

Martha is a super cute, fun and flirty tea length dress from the 1950's. It has a full circle 4 layered skirt, a cheesecloth layer for shape, a silk petticoat and a fine net overskirt topped with the beautiful laCe dress. Please note that there are some pulls in the underskirts, but this cannot be seen when worn.

The lace is a floral design with a silver thread running through giving a unique sparkle. Minor repairs are needed to the hem line and this could be completed with the final alterations. It has a ruched strip detail at the neckline in a sweetheart shape which is created from a sheer fabric and the same fabric is used for the lightweight cap sleeves. The bodice is lined and has light boning at the seams to hold the shape. The dress fastens at the back with a zip and hook & eye.

What’s Va-Va-Voom Vintage?

Did you know that the term vintage is generally used to describe anything over 50 years old?? The Honeybomb vintage range focuses mainly on the fabulous 50’s, but we also have dresses ranging from the 20’s to the early 60’s.

The nature of a vintage dress means that there are generally some slight imperfections and blemishes in the fabric. If you are unsure about anything or would like to see more photos please drop us a line.
