Va-Va-Voom Vintage (What’s this?)

This 1950’s floral lace dress is in fabulous condition. It features a boat neckline with layered mesh and beautiful scalloped lace detail. The same lace detail creates a sash at the front of the hips and dips down at the back to a feature bow, with smaller bow details at the back of the neckline and zip fastening.

The bodice is fully lined and the full length lace sleeve, sheer unlined, tapers to a point with a popper fastening. The full 50's shape skirt has 3 layers; lace top skirt, net petticoat with a double layer at the bottom 10 inches for fullness and a stiff inner lining to give the shape. This dress would ould also look fabulous with additional petticoats to showcase the fullness. We think it could possibly benefit from a new underskirt as the lining is a shade darker that the bodice. Lucile is a beautifully rich cream colour lace and in incredible condition.

What’s Va-Va-Voom Vintage?

Did you know that the term vintage is generally used to describe anything over 50 years old?? The Honeybomb vintage range focuses mainly on the fabulous 50’s, but we also have dresses ranging from the 20’s to the early 60’s.

The nature of a vintage dress means that there are generally some slight imperfections and blemishes in the fabric. If you are unsure about anything or would like to see more photos please drop us a line.
